Claire Cunningham is a multi-disciplinary performer and choreographer based in Glasgow. Her unique performance style integrating the dynamic and imaginative use of her crutches, alongside her beautiful voice (she trained as a classical singer), aerial and acting skills have made her a much-sought after performer both in the UK and internationally. Her body of works have been critically acclaimed for their humourous and intelligent challenges to issues of aesthetics and dance.

Claire currently has 2 new works available for touring:

Guide Gods - a new work feauting Claire and musician/composer Derek Nisbet, created as part of Culture 2014, Glasgow's cultural programme for the Commonwealth Games.  Combining movement, text and song Guide Gods looks at the perspectives of the majors faiths and religions towards the issue of disability, and will appear at London's Southbank Centre (Queen Elizabeth Hall) on 2nd & 3rd Sept 2014. Give me a reason to live - a 30min solo inspired by the medieval painter Hieronymus Bosch, which premiered at the Cement Festival in s'Hertogenbosch in March 2014.
